Did you know that if you plant jelly beans in dirt over the week of Easter that lollipops will grow in their place? It’s true, just ask my kids and this magic only works at Easter time.

First, let your kids pick out some jellybeans.  I let mine choose 5 each to plant.

Then, find a safe place to plant them.  By safe, I mean a spot that is safe from critters, even better if it is out of the rain.

And before the kids get up the next morning, stick some Dum Dums in their place.

Harvest your crops.

Enjoy.  (For what it’s worth, totally not worth it to give a one year old a Dum Dum, no matter how much she wants to be like her big siblings.  I had to watch her like a hawk the whole time she had it, before I couldn’t take it anymore, took it away, and then she of course screamed her head off.  Hahaha.)

Childhood magic on the very, very cheap.

Happy Easter, everyone!
